Marquette University Police Department maintains a daily log that records, by the date the incident was reported, all crimes and other serious incidents occurring on campus, within non-campus buildings or properties, on public property or within the department's patrol boundaries. The daily log is available for public inspection at the department's headquarters, located at 749 N. 16th St.
The daily log includes the nature, date, time and general location of each crime reported to the department, as well as the disposition of the complaint, if the information is known at the time of publication. The department posts incidents in the Campus Crime Log within two business days of receiving a report and reserves the right to exclude reports under certain circumstances.
The following activities have been reported to the Marquette University Police Department. While the department has begun investigation into these incidents, information may not have been verified as accurate or factual at the time of this report. The Department and area law enforcement agencies continue to investigate these activities and may provide supplemental information to our community as appropriate.

This is an ongoing investigation.
24-004110 Theft-Moveable Property; Occurred on Thur., 02/29/2024 between 11:15a.m. and 11:20a.m. Reported on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 11:31a.m. An unknown subject(s) intentionally and without consent stole an unattended and unsecured propane tank in the 1400 block of W. Clybourn Street. This is an ongoing investigation.
24-004113 Theft-Movable Property; Occurred on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 12:03p.m. Reported on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 12:19p.m. An unknown subject intentionally and without consent took property from a MU student in the 800 block of N. 16th Street. This is an ongoing investigation.
24-004112 Disorderly Conduct; Occurred and reported on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 12:16p.m. A non-MU subject was observed starting garbage on fire near a MU owned building in the 700 block of N. 12th Street. The fire did not cause any damage. The subject was cited and released.
24-004116 Disorderly Conduct; Occurred and reported on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 2:19p.m. A non-MU subject was shouting and arguing with MU staff in a MU owned building in the 1200 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue. The subject was taken into custody, cited, and released.
24-003749 Theft-Movable Property; Occurred on Sat., 02/24/2024 at 11:25a.m. Reported on Thur., 02/29/2024 at 3:57p.m. An unknown subject intentionally and without consent stole a MU student's unattended property from the 1300 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue. This is an ongoing investigation.
24-003827 (UPDATE) Update to Theft of Movable Property reported on 2/25/24 at 5:15 p.m. This report was changed to Unfounded after the alleged victim's property was found to be turned in as lost and found/abandoned property. The victim was notified.
