Discovery Learning Complex - New Engineering building

  • The first two levels of the new engineering building are complete.
  • Crews continue to install lab casework and relocate equipment from labs in Haggerty Hall.

Marquette University broke ground for a new engineering facility, the Discovery Learning Complex, on Friday, March 5th, 2010, with initial occupancy planned for August 2011.

The first phase of the Discovery Learning Complex, a $35 million project for the College of Engineering, will involve building a five-story, 115,000 square foot facility. The initial structure will include an innovative Discovery Learning Laboratory and a two-story engineering materials and structural testing laboratory. It will also include other new teaching and research laboratories, common areas for students, and office space. The first phase will be linked to a future 150,000 square foot building that will include classrooms, offices and additional laboratories.

New Childcare Facility

The 500 North Building, former home of University Advancement at 19th Street and Clybourn, will be renovated for Marquette University's Childcare program.

 

Soccer

Soccer Facility

The construction of a new soccer facility at Valley Fields is nearly complete. The facility includes locker rooms and restrooms.

 

 

Norris Park

Norris Park Redevelopment

Norris Park located between 18th and 19th Streets and State and Kilbourn is being leased from the City of Milwaukee and has been redeveloped for recreational use.

 

Eckstein Hall

Eckstein Hall site - New Law School

Eckstein Hall is open and fall classes are underway. The building will be dedicated on September 8, 2010.

Michigan Street has been reconstructed north of Eckstein Hall and a new surface lot has been constructed south east of Gesu.

The reconstruction of the Gesu parking lot is complete.
