Programs

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.

At the undergraduate level we offer two degree programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202-4012, telephone: (410) 347-7700; a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree program in Computer Engineering, as well as a bachelor of science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering.  In the Electrical Engineering program there are two majors – one in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (ELEE) and another in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ELCE).

At the graduate level, the graduate degrees we offer include the Master's of Science (M.S.) and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D).   We even have a 5 year BS/MS program where students earn their undergraduate degree with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students in the graduate degree programs can focus their work in several areas including Antennas and Propagation, Computational and Artificial Intelligence, Communications, Control Systems, Electric Machine and Drives, Signal and Speech Processing,  and Smart Sensor Systems.  We also offer certificate programs in selected areas.
