Freshmen arrive on Marquette's campus

Nearly 2,000 freshmen are moving into Marquette residence halls and preparing for the start of the 2008-09 academic year. This week new students will participate in an orientation program that includes a welcome from Marquette President Robert A. Wild, S.J., presentations on various campus programs and services, campus tours, social events and a service project.

All freshmen are reading Run by Ann Patchett and will hear the author speak on Thursday, Aug. 21, as part of the New Student Convocation.

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 25.
