Marquette Interchange Update as of May 16, 2008

• Special directions due to detour routes caused by closures of Northbound I-43/94 at Plankinton and the ramp from Eastbound I-94 to Northbound I-43 from 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, until 11 a.m. on Saturday May 17

• Bradley Center

  1001 N. 4th Street

• Traveling TO the Bradley Center:

  From the West:

  Start west of Milwaukee on I-94 heading east.  Continue onto I-794 eastbound.  Take the Civic Center, James Lovell exit ramp (exit 1A).  Continue onto James Lovell Street.  Turn right onto Wells Street. Turn left onto 4th Street.  Ends at 4th Street.

  From the North:

  Start north of Milwaukee on I-43 heading south.  Take the Highland Avenue exit ramp (exit 72C).  Turn left onto Highland to 6th Street.  Turn right onto 6th Street.  Turn left onto McKinley Avenue.  Turn right onto 4th Street.Ends at 4th Street.

  From the South:

  Start south of Milwaukee on I-94/I-43 heading north.  Take the Plankinton Avenue exit ramp (exit 73A).  Turn left onto Plankinton Avenue.  Turn left onto Kilbourn Avenue.  Turn right onto 4th Street.  Ends at State Street.

• Traveling FROM the Bradley Center:

  To the West:

  Start on 4th Street heading south. Turn right onto State Street. Turn left onto 6th Street. Turn right onto On-Ramp to Southbound I-43 at Kilbourn Avenue. Merge right onto Westbound I-94.

  To the North:

  Start on 4th Street heading north. Turn left onto McKinley Avenue. Turn right onto I-43 northbound on ramp.  Merge onto I-43 northbound.

  To the South:

  Start on 4th Street heading south. Turn left onto McKinley Avenue. Turn left onto I-43southbound on ramp.  Merge onto I-43 southbound.  Merge onto I-94/I-43 southbound.

• Traveling TO the U.S. Cellular Arena:

  From the West:

  Start west of Milwaukee on I-94 heading east.  Continue onto I-794 eastbound. Take the Civic Center, James Lovell exit ramp (exit 1A).  Continue onto James Lovell Street.  Turn right onto Wells Street.  Turn left onto 6th Street.  Ends at Kilbourn Avenue.

  From the North:

  Start north of Milwaukee on I-43 heading south.  Take the Highland Avenue exit ramp (exit 72C).  Turn left onto Highland to 6th Street.  Turn right onto 6th Street.  Ends at Kilbourn Avenue.

  From the South:

  Start south of Milwaukee on I-94/I-43 heading north.  Take the Plankinton Avenue exit ramp (exit 73A).  Turn left onto Plankinton Avenue.  Turn left onto Kilbourn Avenue.  Ends at 6th Street.

• Traveling FROM the U.S. Cellular Arena:

  To the West:

  Start on 6th and Kilbourn.  Turn right onto 6th Street.  Turn left onto McKinley Street.  Turn left onto Southbound I-43.  Merge right to Westbound I-94.

  To the North:

  Start on 6th and Kilbourn.  On-ramp to Northbound I-43 is at intersection

  To the South:

  Start on 6th and Kilbourn.  Turn right onto 6th Street.  Turn left onto McKinley Street.  Turn left onto Southbound I-43.

To I-94 west (N. 28th Street and W. St. Paul Avenue):

• Take Wells Street (one block north of Wisconsin Avenue) to 6th Street.
• Turn left onto 6th and drive five blocks north to McKinley Street.
• Turn left onto McKinley and travel northwest about 1/2 mile.
• The ramp to southbound I-43 will be on the left.
• Travel about 1 mile south on I-43.
• Exit to the right to westbound I-94 toward Madison.

OR

• Travel west less than one mile on Wells Street or Wisconsin Avenue to 27th Street.
• Turn left onto 27th Street and drive three to four blocks south to St. Paul Avenue.
• Turn right on St. Paul and travel approximately one block.
• The entrance ramp to westbound I-94 will be on your left.

To I-94 east or I-43 south (N. 25th Street and W. St. Paul Avenue):

• Take Wells Street (one block north of Wisconsin Avenue) to 6th Street.
• Turn left onto 6th and drive five blocks north to McKinley Street.
• Turn left onto McKinley and travel northwest about 1/2 mile.
• The ramp to southbound I-43 will be on the left.

OR

• Travel west on Wisconsin Avenue or Clybourn Street for less than one mile to 25th Street.
• Turn left onto 25th Street and drive one to two blocks south, over the freeway.
• The entrance ramp to the I-94 eastbound is to the left, just before St. Paul Avenue.
• Head east on I-94.
• The connector ramp to southbound I-43 is approximately one mile east, and is the second exit (see graphic).
• Stay in the center lane and then exit to the right when directed.

To I-43 north (N. 10th Street and W. Highland Avenue ):

• Take Wells Street (one block north of Wisconsin Avenue) to 6th Street.
• Turn left onto 6th Street and drive two blocks north to Kilbourn Avenue.
• Turn left into the Kilbourn Tunnel and merge onto northbound I-43 .

OR

• Head north on 12th Street and travel two to three blocks to Highland Avenue.
• Turn right onto Highland and drive east two blocks, over the freeway.
• The entrance ramp to northbound I-43 is on the left at 10th Street.
