The Marquette Action Program

Since 1977, Marquette University students have enjoyed making service trips during spring break to 11 different sites throughout the United States and Canada. These trips expose students to aspects of poverty, racism and the lives of the disabled in our society. Students contribute to the communities; are exposed to different social, cultural and economic situations; learn how service organizations work; and reflect upon how the experience relates to their own life and faith.

"Midnight Run"

Midnight Run is a mobile meal program run by students who prepare meals on campus and take them to the hungry and homeless of Milwaukee. There are opportunities to work at nine meal programs and shelters in the community.

The International Marquette Action Program

A group of Marquette students, faculty and staff travel to Kingston, Jamaica, for a service and immersion experience during winter break. Through inter-cultural experience, participants come to recognize the things that are common to all people, see the spiritual richness that is often found in situations of material poverty, and develop an understanding of circumstances where poverty exists globally and locally.
