Catholic University Lyon Program Overview

The ESDES was founded in 1987 as part of the Université Catholique de Lyon and has quickly established itself as a leading business school in France. It's located in the city center, and campus includes theatres, a library, computer and copying facilities, and a cafeteria.

Active campus life

ESDES strongly encourages students to participate in campus life, and there are many ESDES and Université Catholique clubs and associations with which to be involved. There are two newspapers, La Couette and ESDES Park; the music club, l'Assoc' Music; the wine club; and many activities organized by the Fédération des Étudiants de l'Université Catholique de Lyon, which has 2,500 members.

Student associations

The student association has three organizing bodies. The Students Office organizes orientation weekend and the annual gala, produces the yearbook, and helps welcome foreign students. The Sports Office coordinates all sports activities controlled by the Fédération Nationale du Sport Universitaire. It also organizes a ski week and a sports competition between the schools. The Clubs Office organizes cultural events and encourages student initiatives in a wide range of subjects, including film, music, art, journalism, the stock market and the Internet.
