The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Katholische Universitat — KU) enjoys a unique status as a state and Catholic university. As such, students benefit from the diversity and resources of a large state university but are able to enjoy an education rooted in the Catholic faith. The student-to-faculty ratio is 11–1, better than other leading German business schools.
The university offers a variety of sports to all students and staff members, including badminton, basketball, fencing, soccer, jazz dance and swimming. Students who are interested in art or music can participate in drama, join the university choir or big band, and organize movie nights.
Campus-wide student organizations like AIESEC, the Market Team, the KHG — the Catholic student congregation — and other organizations are present on campus, and international students can join them.
KU encourages students to budget at least 420-520 euros a month (excluding health insurance, clothes and travel expenses). Included in this budget are allowances for living accommodations, food and drink, books, study materials, and extra money for leisure activities.
This is a Marquette exchange program, so most financial aid generally applies. To learn more about how the program will affect your specific aid package, go to the Office of Student Financial Aid.
