Where’s Jim?

Congratulations to Carole Burns, last week’s “Where’s Jim?” winner, who correctly identified that Jim was crossing Wells at 13th Street.  With him in the picture is Public Safety Officer Ken Simms, who has been helping pedestrians cross the street during the busy morning rush hour.

Ken assists pedestrians each day from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and will continue to do so until the traffic signal at that intersection is up and running.  Ken has been working at Marquette in the Department of Public Safety since January, 5 1987.  Everyone who crosses Wells Street from the new parking structure is very grateful for "Officer Friendly!"  Here’s what some have said:

·    “(Ken is) the wonderful Public Safety Officer who makes life easy in the morning so that we don’t have to fight the traffic.”

·    “I’m very thankful for our Public Safety crossing guard.”

·    “It’s Ken at 13th and Wells – fondly known as our savior of safety in getting across Wells!”

Next time Ken helps you across the street, give him a huge “THANK YOU!”
