Juan is independent adviser to and past president of Compania de Cemento Argos, a cement conglomerate that is part of one of the largest business groups in Latin America.

Rick is owner and president of R.A. Smith and Associates, Inc., one of Wisconsin’s largest civil engineering, planning, surveying, landscape architecture, GIS and 3-D visualization consulting firms.

Service Award

Elizabeth Tomlinson, Eng ’99

After graduation, Beth joined the Peace Corps and taught science to 375 8th–10th graders in Namibia, Africa. Today she is with Miami’s TLC Engineering for Architecture.

Tracey R. Thomas, Eng ’86

After earning a law degree, Tracey practiced sports and patent law, and became a sports agent. He is now intellectual property counsel at American Express.
