his bachelor’s, master’s and law degrees at
Marquette and is an adjunct faculty member in the Executive

Law Alumnus of the Year
Shawn M. Eichorst will return
to his home state of Wisconsin in April to join University
of Wisconsin Athletics Director Barry Alvarez’s
senior administrative staff as a senior associate athletic
director. |

Serving the poor has been
a career focus for Tanner Kilander for as long as she
can remember. While earning her Marquette law degree,
she met with then Law School Dean Howard Eisenberg to
discuss a model for delivering legal services to the
poor. |

After earning his juris doctor degree from Marquette University Law School, Eric A. Montgomery began a legal career focused on employment law. He joined the law firm of Plunkett & Cooney P.C. in Detroit as an associate in the employment law section. |

Achievement Award
One year after graduating
from Marquette Law School, Michael R. Wherry was hired
by U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Byron White to
work in the civil division of the U.S. Justice Department
under then Attorney General Robert Kennedy and Solicitor
General Thurgood Marshall, a position he held until 1966. |
