Ana R. Stankovic, M.D., Eng ’97
Dr. Ana Stankovic graduated from the Brown University Medical School in 2001 and is a board-certified physician in nephrology and internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine.
At Harvard University, Ana completed a fellowship in nephrology and hypertension at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and at Harvard and Georgetown University, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital. She has affiliations with Alpha Sigma Nu, Sigma Xi, Pi Mu Epsilon, Alpha Eta Mu Beta, Alpha Epsilon Delta and Tau Beta Pi. She received the National Institutes of Health NRSA Hypertension Fellowship and Howard Hughes Fellowship during her medical training.
Ana also has clinical research experience in nephrology and cardiovascular medicine —hypertension, direct renin inhibition, chronic kidney disease, metabolic syndrome, hyperlipidemia, diabetes and vitamin D — and her work has been published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology and Kidney International. She was included in the Guide to America’s Top Physicians and received a Patients’ Choice Award in 2008.
Ana works as a nephrology and hypertension specialist and laboratory director for HCA Inc. She is licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, is a speaker and consultant for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and is involved with medical committees, advisory boards and scientific meetings. She has special interests in medical leadership, executive education, medical affairs, biotech, clinical research, quality assessment, risk management, utilization review and managed care.
Ana, who is the founder and president of the Brown University Alumni Club of Serbia, welcomes new opportunities and would like to continue networking with the Marquette community.
