In an interview with Greg Donaldson, Sp '80, Betty, Arts '69, and the Hon. W. Greg Ryberg, Arts '68, will share why they're so passionately committed to their community. Read more about the Rybergs and Donaldson.

Connect with Marquette alumni, parents and friends while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

8:30 p.m. — Game-watching Gathering: Marquette vs. Georgetown Men's Basketball
Head across the street to the Buckhead Pizza Co. (3324 Peachtree Road) to cheer the Golden Eagles to victory against Georgetown (9:00 p.m. tipoff).

RybergsThe Hon. W. Greg Ryberg, Arts '68, began his career in Aiken, S.C., as a business owner and developer. In 1992, he was elected to the South Carolina Senate and served for five terms before retiring in 2012. Ryberg has received many honors, including being elected to Marquette University's Board of Trustees in 2008 and the Order of the Palmetto - the highest honor bestowed by the governor of South Carolina - in 2012.

In addition to raising three children, Betty Ryberg, Arts '69, has been a constant and energetic presence on countless boards and councils. Her efforts have earned her many awards, including the Aiken Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year award in 1997 and 2012 and the Aiken Sertoma Service to Mankind award, among others.

DonaldsonGreg Donaldson, Sp '80, recently retired after nearly 15 years of award-winning success as the national vice president of corporate communications for the American Cancer Society. Before the society, he served in a similar capacity for Humana Inc., and spent more than 10 years as an award-winning broadcast journalist and television news executive. Donaldson has received several professional honors from the Public Relations Society of America Associated Press Broadcasters Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and Marquette University, among others.
