The intent of the scholarship is to provide two Marquette students
of color a gift of $1600.00 each and a third student a gift of $1000.00 for the next academic year. The scholarship is designed to aid students of color who demonstrate financial need and Marquette values. One scholarship will be awarded to an Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) student and one to a non-EOP student. The third scholarship will be awarded based on recommendations from the selection committee.
Candidates must complete the enclosed scholarship application.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be African American, American Indian/Alaskan
Native, Hispanic or Asian.
- Be currently enrolled at Marquette
University and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
(on a scale of 4.0). This can be a renewable scholarship.
- Submit the online application and
essay no later than
Friday, February 13, 2009.
(No late applications will be accepted)
The Ethnic Alumni Association selection
committee, in conjunction with the Office of Student Financial
Aid, will administer this scholarship. The recipient will be notified
shortly after the end of the academic year.
