Marquette University Receives
Single Largest Donation; $28M

Continuing their noble history of giving back to their alma mater, J. William, Arts '51, and Mary Diederich, Arts '52 have made the largest single donation in Marquette's history — $28M to the College of Communication, which will be renamed the J. William and Mary Diederich College of Communication in their honor and establish the college as one of the top institutions for educating students in the converging worlds of print, broadcast and electronic media.

Students take strategic AIM in new class

Eleven Marquette business students will soon have the chance to invest and manage $500,000 of the university’s endowment as participants in Applied Investment Management (AIM), a new program that will train them to become investment research analysts through traditional class work and hands-on experience.

Schmid Scott Schmidlkofer, Law '01, has opened his own law firm, Schmidlkofer & Toth, LLC in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, with fellow alumnus, Mark Toth, Bus Ad '96, Law '01. Connolly

Peter Connolly, Jour '65, recently published 374-page novel entitled The Last Slider, a thriller set in a Connecticut shipyard.
