Golden Eagles are WNIT champs
The Marquette women's basketball team won the championship of the Women's National
Invitation Tournament, 81-66, vs. Michigan State. It was their second trip to the WNIT finals

Brent "Buzz" Williams named 16th head coach at Marquette
Brent "Buzz" Williams, a highly respected recruiter and veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks, has been named the 16th head coach of the Marquette University men's basketball program, MU President Robert A. Wild, S.J., and Director of Athletics Steve Cottingham confirmed Monday night. Learn more

- Marquette attracts foreign world leader
Mary Robinson, the first female president of Ireland and former United Nations high
commissioner for human rights, recently came to campus to speak on "Responding to
Human Rights Challenges.” A leading expert in human trafficking, a poverty researcher
and two federal judges are some of the other speakers slated to come to campus this

Marquette is one of the best workplaces in Southeastern Wisconsin. The university was
one of nine large companies and the only educational institution to receive this year’s
"Best Places to Work" honor awarded by Milwaukee Magazine and MRA — The
Management Association. Companies were evaluated on nine measures and the results
of anonymous employee surveys.
