- Marquette play premieres in Ireland
The Department of Performing Arts’ theatre season doesn’t officially open until October,
but the troupe premiered its recent collaboration with the world-renowned Gaiety School
of Acting in Dublin, Ireland, last month. The play will make its stateside debut Nov. 8 at
Marquette’s Evan P. and Marion Helfaer Theatre. Read more
- Law professor appointed to World’s Sports Court
Matt Mitten, professor of law and director of the National Sports Law Institute, was recently
appointed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Mitten will be the only U.S. law professor
serving on the court. Read more
- Marquette’s "Women of Influence"
Head women's basketball coach Terri Mitchell was one of 23 women named by the
Milwaukee Business Journal as "Women of Influence." Five Marquette alumnae also
received the honor. Read more
- Crean family pledges $100,000 for soccer stadium
The university's plan to build a new soccer stadium received a significant boost from
head men’s basketball coach Tom Crean and his wife, Joani. It is the second major gift
for the project. Read more
- Friends of the Haggerty Museum honor Sandy Pavlic
Sandy Pavlic, Arts ’51, a leading figure in the fund-raising campaign to build the Haggerty
Museum of Art and a strong supporter of its programs, recently received the Patricia B.
Apple Service Recognition Award. Read more

done numerous bit parts in
television and movies, but his stint
on Heroes will be his most
high-profile role to date.

Klingman-Remmel wedding

Sara Rae Klingman, Arts '97, Grad '06, and Josh Remmel were married on April 21, 2007, at the Roman Catholic Church of the Gesu on Marquette's campus. They selected the Caribbean islands of Curacao and Bonaire for their honeymoon. Full Note

Marquette Volleyball Teams Up with Brookfield Academy
Marquette University volleyball players Terri Angst, Jenn Brown, Jessica Kieser and Katie Wiedner along with head coach Pati Rolf teamed up with Brookfield Academy on Tuesday to send support to Iraqi school children in the Harwan Village.
The Harwan School consists of 150 students who are in need of school supplies. The Marquette players provided backpacks and worked with Brookfield Academy students to fill them.
