2006-07 Men's Basketball Schedule Released

The men's basketball team’s second season in the BIG

EAST Conference will be highlighted by league match-ups

with Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Pittsburgh and

Syracuse, an appearance in the CBE Classic and the 113th

game against in-state rival Wisconsin. Marquette will make

a minimum of nine appearances on national television

highlighted by the regular season home finale on March 3

against Pittsburgh as part of ESPN Gameday. Marquette

will also play two ESPN Big Monday games, as well as

appearances on ABC, CBS, ESPN and ESPNU.

Marquette moves up in U.S. News & World Report ranking

Marquette University ranks 81st among the top national universities in the
2007 edition of America's Best Colleges, released by U.S. News & World
Report
. Marquette was listed among 248 U.S. universities that offer
undergraduate majors as well as master's and doctoral degrees, the premier
category of institutions ranked by the publication.

Princeton Review considers Marquette one of the best

The Princeton Review listed Marquette as among its "Best 361 Colleges" for
2007
. Particular mention was made of the “state-of-the-art computer facilities”
and the “amazing new Raynor Memorial Library.” Students also noted
Marquette's faculty as "truly top-notch."  One student commented, "Most
professors personally care about the learning experiences of their students
and make every effort to offer help or insight inside and outside of class."

on July 15, 2006 at Gesu Church in Milwaukee. Marquette alumni
and former basketball stars in the wedding party included Brian
Roche, Arts '96, Anthony Pieper, Comm '98 and Mike Bargen, Arts
'99.
