REUNION WEEKEND
2005
Marquette's
alumni flocked to campus in record numbers this year to celebrate
the 2005 Reunion Weekend. Alumni enjoyed a weekend packed with
parties, tours, dinners and educational opportunities. There were
some reunion "firsts" this year, like an Ethnic Alumni
Association reunion celebration, a football reunion, and a special
party organized by the class of '85.

The
Ethnic Alumni Association reunion brought
together alumni of color from all across the country. The
EAA hosted special events like a Multicultural Mass featuring
the All Saints Gospel Choir and Children of
the Sea children's choir, and a Dance to the Decades
featuring local DJ Chris Levy.
Throughout the
weekend, record-breaking donations for the Ralph H. Metcalfe,
Sr., Scholarship were raised on behalf of current Marquette
students of color.
Rondell Sheridan,
Sp '80, star of "That's So Raven," signed autographs at
the Block Party and hosted the Dance to the Decades.

The
Class of 1985 threw a party to remember
at the home of Nancy and Tim Haggerty, Bus Ad '85. Partygoers
enjoyed a live musical performance by Paul Cebar and the
Milwaukeeans, along with a clambake and lobster boil.
Over 340 guests were in attendance
to celebrate their 20th reunion at Marquette as well as
to celebrate an impressive class gift. The class of
1985 Reunion Giving committee presented Fr. Wild with a
$1 million check, the result of the “Class of 1985 $1 million
reunion challenge.” More classmates than ever before
participated in their class gift, setting the precedent
for future reunion class gift campaigns.
