
The Alumni Memorial Union complex
of facilities and spaces can accommodate groups from as little as three persons to as many as 4,000
people. Completed in 1990, the building is arranged
on five floors and offers a variety of amenities and services
for the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests of
Marquette University. Many of the facilities are available
for rental. Please see the Plan an Event section for
details.
The first floor is the location to many services used by students, staff and visitors. Directly off the main east entrance you will find the Marquette Spirit Shop the official home of Marquette clothing and gifts, as well as the Brew Bayou coffee shop. Also located on the first floor is a U.S. Bank branch with two ATM machines, the Commuter Lounge, the Office of Student Development, the Marquette University Student Government (MUSG) offices, the LEAD Center, Brooks Lounge which features pool tables, hang out/study space and snacks, smart meeting rooms in Room 157 and Room 163, and Union Station which is home to both the campus post office and card office.
The second floor is home to two dining facilities: the elegant Lunda Room and the bustling Marquette Place. The second floor services include the University Information Center, the Event Management and Catering office, the Union Administration office and the Campus Ministry office. The Chapel of the Holy Family and the smaller Eucharistic Chapel are also located on the second floor near the University Ministry office. The AMU second floor features eight meeting rooms in total with four of them being smart meetings rooms and one being a larger assembly size smart meeting room.
The Monaghan Ballroom is found on the third floor. The ballroom can be divided into five separate large meeting spaces. The Lynch Lounge is available as a pre-function space. The third floor also hosts eight small to medium size meeting rooms with four having smart meeting room capabilities. Nearby is the Office of Student Development and Student Educational Services.
On the fourth floor you may visit the International Center. Also located on this floor are the Offices of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Office of International Education and University Special Events. The fourth floor contains one medium sized smart meeting room.
The fifth and top floor contains the Père Marquette Discovery Suite and the Board Room for Marquette's Board of Trustees.
The Weasler Auditorium is a full service theater complete with a built-in audio system, dressing rooms and stage. It seats approximately 500 and can be used for plays, speakers or even just a dance practice.
Located in Holthusen Hall (1326 West Wisconsin Avenue), the Varsity Theatre has a 32 foot stage and can accommodate 1,075 people in the auditorium for lectures: 724 on the orchestra level and 351 in the balcony. For concerts, the theater has a capacity of 700 people (all lower level seating).
