For the fifth year in a row, the Alumni Memorial Union and Sodexo Dining Services staffs collaborated to put on the AMU Event Showcase. Over 200 guests from various campus departments participated in the event that took place on Monday, January 11, 2010.
The showcase highlighted new ideas for event catering and room set up. Additionally, guests were allowed to try out new techologies now available within AMU operations that could be ordered to enhance upcoming events.
Guests were treated to a sampling of food, including selections from retail operations as well as items from the catering menu. They were also encouraged to engage staff in discussions about future events, take part in live cooking demonstrations featuring Executive Chef Robert DeNicola and contribute in coloring in items of a piece work art image created by Reginald Baylor, artist in residence at the Pfister Hotel, specific to Marquette University.
