Exciting new concepts being introduced into AMU retail dining areas for the 2010 spring semester
Sodexo Dining Services is proud to introduce some new additions to retail dining in the Alumni Memorial Union this spring. In response to customer comment cards and ongoing conversations with diners, several of the retail operations took advantage of the winter break period to bring in the following new concepts:
- The Natural Market (AMU 2nd floor) has added Fresh & Organic Greens, a self serve salad bar committed to using fresh and organic vegetables whenever possible. This new feature will provide campus with another healthy, gluten free, vegan and vegetarian option in the AMU.
- The Natural Market will also feature the Burt's Bees product line including items such as lip balm and shampoo.
- Marquette Place (AMU 2nd floor) has changed up the six core sub sandwiches being offered out of NYC Subs, added the Baja Taco Salad to the everyday menu of Ultimate Baja and brought back the ever popular and in demand curly fries to Grill 155.
- The Annex Restaurant (16th & Well) featuring WOW Cafe & Wingery menu items will now be open starting at 11 a.m. on Fridays. A new lunch menu has been rolled out as well that will be used Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes tasty new items such as Shrimp or Catfish Po'Boy sandwiches, the Mardi Gras Mambo Wrap and the Monterey Salad.
- The Annex will also have two new daily specials: Cajun Island Wednesdays with Buffalo Shrimp on special and Party Gras Fridays featuring a Catfish Dinner.
- The Brew Cafes (AMU 1st floor, Straz Hall, Cudahy Hall, Raynor Library, Law School) will continue to introduce monthly drink and bakery features along with bring in new programs like Sunday Morning Coffee.
- The Lunda Room (AMU 2nd floor) will partner with the following heritage months to incorporate ethnic flare into some of the specials they offer: January Islam Awareness Celebration, February Pan-African Heritage Celebration, March Mai Pham Vietnamese/Thai Cuisine Celebration and April Pacific Islander Celebration.
