The 2011 APS SCCM Conference

The Seventeenth Biennial International Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter will be held at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, from June 26th through July 1st, 2009. The purpose of this conference, as with earlier conferences in this series, will be to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and technical information for scientists and engineers studying the physics, chemistry, mechanics, and materials science of condensed matter at high dynamic pressures and compressions. In addition to the oral and poster presentations, a refereed Proceedings will archive the science presented at this conference as with the previous conferences in this series.
