Student Program

Monday, June 27: Poster Session

Judging of student posters for best poster prizes will take place! Prizes will be announced at the banquet on Thursday night.

Thursday, June 30: Student Networking Lunch

We will have a student luncheon on Thursday during the lunch break. Please meet at the conference registration desk by 12:45 pm for a short walk to Bella Bacino's pizzeria, 75 E. Wacker Street. We plan on having representatives from the National and DoD labs, Universities, etc. for you to interact with and learn more about jobs in shock physics. This is a great opportunity to meet other students in APS SCCM, and network with scientists in your field.

Thursday, June 30: Local Major League baseball (not organized by conference)

You may be interested in catching a baseball game while in town.

The Whitesox are playing at home on Sunday, June 26th at 1:10 pm. The Cubs are at home most of the week 6/27-6/30 playing the Rockies and Giants.

Student Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to our student scholarship winners! We had an enthusiastic response to our call for scholarships this year. There is still time to consider rooming together to save money while attending the conference.
