Provides support to pursue an M.A. in American history or in political science, M.A.T. concentrating on either American Constitutional history (in a history department) or American government, political institutions, and political theory (in a political science department). Requires commitment to teach American history, American government or social studies at a secondary level (grades 7-12) after degree completion.

National Science Foundation

The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions. Fellows receive three years of support.

Provides full financial support for Rhodes Scholars to pursue a degree or degrees at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

The Rotary Foundation Graduate Ambassadorial Scholarship will be offered every other year.  Students should contact the Rotary Club of Milwaukee (RCM) directly to begin the graduate application process.

Schwarzman Scholarship

Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders. Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements by August 1, 2017 before orientation begins. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome.

Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

This fellowship program honors and supports the graduate educations of 30 New Americans-permanent residents for naturalized citizens if born aboard; otherwise children of naturalized citizen parents--each year.

Fellows can study in any degree-granting program in any field at any university in the United States.

Applicants must be applying to graduate school or in their first two years of graduate school as of the November 1, 2016 deadline.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation

The Truman Scholarship provides funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Scholars are invited to participate in a number of programs: Truman Scholar Leadership Week, The Summer Institute, and The Truman-Albright Fellows Program. Students must be college juniors at the time of application.
