Dr. William Starr
Department of Philosophy
Dr. Starr teaches ethics, political philosophy, legal philosophy, philosophy and history of crime and punishment, and the history of modern philosophy. He also teaches from a philosophical perspective the philosophy of Ireland, and has taught the music of Ireland as well. He has spent a fair amount of time in Ireland as a visiting professor at the National University of Ireland, in Galway. He believes that as a freshman, you are going to have a glorious four years at Marquette, both academically and socially, and this course is going to get you started. You will find him at the Brewers games this summer; life is good.
