Dr. Scott Reid
Department of Chemistry

Dr. Reid came to Marquette in 1994.  In his career in science, he has often marveled at the conflicting interpretations set forth from one set of observations, which has taught him that asking the right questions is just as important as finding answers.  His research focuses on the use of laser spectroscopy to probe the structure, properties, and reactivity of transient chemical species that are intermediates in complex chemical reactions.  When he is not working, Dr. Reid enjoys running, movies, reading, and quality time with wife Amy and son Aaron.
