Dr. Germán Carrillo

Dr. Carrillo's fields are 20th and 21st century Spanish America and some areas of Peninsular literatures. More recently he has been involved with Spanish Business courses in Spanish for the Professions. He enjoys teaching courses on culture, business Spanish, poetry, the novel and special topics. He has taught I2I for many years and continues enjoying advising freshmen as well as majors. For the last 13 years he has been the National President of Sigma Delta Pi, the Spanish Collegiate Honor Society with 586 chapters in U.S colleges and universities. His Gamma Gamma chapter is an active organization involved in extensive voluntary community services. He has been appointed Corresponding Member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language (ANLE) based in New York. He enjoys participating in literary conferences, traveling, walks, bike rides and international cinema.
