Dr. William Donaldson
Department of Chemistry
Dr. Bill Donaldson has been a faculty member in the Chemistry Department for 29 years, where he has taught both semesters of the (sometimes dreaded) Organic Chemistry and occasionally General Chemistry courses, as well as an advanced undergraduate/graduate course in Organic Synthesis. In addition to teaching, he directs undergraduates and graduate students in research directed toward the development of new synthetic strategies. Since August 2010, he has also served as Associate Dean in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences where he is thankful to promote his firm beliefs in the value of a strong liberal arts education. Around the town, he enjoys music, theater, and sampling the fine dining opportunities in Milwaukee. Bill is an avid mountaineer with successful summits of Mt. Adams, Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Shasta and the Grand Teton over the past five years. He can easily be distracted from Chemistry by being asked questions about where he has climbed or future climbing plans.
