Letter from the Director

Dear Friends:

O'BrienRev. Timothy J. O'Brien and his dog O'Congo

I write to encourage those of you who are interested in combining academic learning with professional training in our nation's capital. There is no greater opportunity for those interested in national policy and career opportunities in either the public or private sectors than those afforded at the Aspin Center. Nearly 1500 students have studied with us in Washington, and our international study programs in Europe and Africa. Many of our graduates are now in significant government positions, many others have received graduate degrees and are making significant contributions in the business and non-profit sectors.

I am very proud of our highly qualified and dedicated faculty. As the curriculum suggests, our educational model of experiential learning is rooted in solid academics and coupled with internship placements that are individually tailored to match the talent of each student. I view our program as a leadership training base that is rooted in Judeo-Christian values and underpinned by a sense of community building that allows each student to develop their unique talents. The unique focus of this program, along with its care for the development of each student is our hallmark.

We want the best students with us. The competition for admission is keen, class sizes are limited, and as so many graduates have said "this is the finest educational experience of my life." JOIN US!

Sincerely,

Rev. Timothy J. O'Brien
