The Big Buddy/Little Buddy program is set up at the beginning of each school year. Each new band member ("Little Buddy") is paired up with a veteran band member ("Big Buddy"). The Big Buddy helps the Little Buddy through the process of band; mainly it's a way for new Bandos to meet people and have fun. The Freshman Picnic is the first major social event of the school year, and there is always at least one event for the Buddies to work together to win.

Enjoy a sunny day playing volleyball, softball, frisbee, egg toss, and many other activities with your fellow band members. This is a great opportunity for freshman to meet the upperclassmen. It's always a nice day so mark this event on your calendar!

Enjoy a wagon ride through the apple orchard and woods and end the evening with freshly made apple cider and a blazing bonfire. Bring some marshmallows and your camera because you are sure to have a good time!

Each spring the members of the Marquette University Bands gather for a look back at the year, the concerts, events and trips, and the special experiences that were shared and the friendships that were formed. The event includes awards (both formal and informal) and a slide show to recap the year's activities.
