BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES NEWSLETTER

NOTES From The Chair

Dr. Dale NoelThis is a time of great anticipation at Marquette as our new president, Dr. Michael Lovell, is outlining new initiatives and emphasizing innovation. Among these initiatives, Dr. Lovell has said that a new building for Biology is a top priority for new construction on campus. Calling on your good graces, I urge all students, alumni, and friends of our department to keep reminding him and other university officials of the urgent need for a new building. One is hard-pressed to find another university with a life-sciences building that is as old as ours without having undergone at least a major top-to-bottom renovation. Our students, staff, and faculty do marvelous, innovative work. Imagine this talent and dedication in a new structure, designed throughout with the best of modern technology.
