Rooted in our Catholic, Jesuit educational tradition, the Helen Way Klinger College of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of the university, where you'll study questions that are just as relevant today as they were centuries ago. Though you'll be one of many students in the more than 30 majors in the college, you won't be just a number in biological sciences. Students are the heart of the program, which means you'll be able to take full advantage of the resources offered, whether it's in the classroom, laboratory, advising or career planning stage.

We are proud to be a big enough university to conduct real research but small enough to give you personal attention.  The faculty is committed to excellence in teaching and research. They are interested in producing leaders of conscience through the teacher-scholar model.  Our faculty provide students with a model for critical thinking where students are taught to observe, evaluate and solve problems. Stand-alone lab courses and research encourages our students to ask questions.

We know that's how you learn best!

Why Marquette?

We demand excellence from our students, whether it's in the classroom or in the community.  We expect you to use your moral compass, whether it's in planning or problem-solving.  We educate leaders who want to make a difference, whether it's at home or around the world.
