Before you submit this application:

  1. You must identify three to four faculty mentors from this list. Consult the research descriptions on the web site and, if possible, talk with faculty in your area(s) of interest so that your list of potential faculty mentors reflect an informed choice. Since each faculty member conducts a limited number of interviews it is important that this initial list be carefully thought out.
  2. You must prepare a brief statement (300 words maximum) describing your long-term career goals and how participation in this summer program will aid you in achieving them. Include in your statement a brief description of any prior training or research experience that helps qualify you for a research internship.
