Dr. Stephen Downs is the 2009 recipient of the Lawrence G. Haggerty Award for Research Excellence.
Dr. Allison Abbott is the 2009 recipient of the Way Klinger Young Scholarship Award.
Dr. Kathleen Karrer received the 2009 Association of Marquette University Women (AMUW) Nora Finnigan Faculty Achievement Award.

2009 Undergraduate Research Awards were presented to Robert Stone (Biological Sciences) and Brandon Rindfleisch (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology)
2009 Gamex Research Award in Biological Sciences was presented to Laura Korthauer a physiological sciences major.
Eric Weh (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) received the top undergraduate poster award at the Midwest Neurobiology Meeting.
