Dr. Ren received her M.S., M.D., and Ph.D. degrees from HuaZhong University of Science & Technology (formerly Tongji Medical University) in China. She has studied the effects of alcohol on neurotransmitter receptors since 1999, when she was a Visiting Fellow in the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Ren has been at Marquette University since 2004.
