Promentis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. raises $2.9 million

Promentis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Milwaukee company co-founded by Drs. David Baker and John Mantsch, professors of biomedical sciences in the College of Health Sciences, has raised $2.9 million in Series B financing. The company, which develops drugs to treat schizophrenia and other central nervous system disorders, will use the funds to bring two of the compounds into clinical trials for humans within the next two years.
