Associate Director, Student Run Business Program

Owen Raisch serves as founding Associate Director for the Student Run Business Program, officially titled the “Marcus Lemonis Student-Run Pay The Profit Forward Program,” providing experiential, hands-on learning opportunities for students throughout Marquette University. Formed in 2017, the program was funded through a generous $1.5 million matching grant from Marcus Lemonis and received more than $1.7 million in additional dollars from 2,769 individual donors. 

Prior to his current role, Owen served as founding Assistant Director for the Sedler Center for Experiential Learning in Business at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, where he was instrumental in the launch of a Student Run Business program among other community-engaged and experiential learning initiatives. Owen has founded multiple for-profit and nonprofit ventures, with a particular focus on education innovation and management consulting services. He is co-owner of Econogy Talent Group, a consulting group that crowd-sources student and professional talent to solve problems for scaling organizations, and he serves as Vice President on the board of the non-profit Economics of Compassion Initiative. He has conducted numerous speaking engagements, domestic and international, on various education, marketing and economic development topics. 

Owen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public from Xavier University. He is completing a Masters of Arts in Private Interest and Public Good from the same institution, with a research focus on the ecology of education, economics and the civic sphere.
