Women and Girls of Color Research Initiative Grant Accepted Proposals

After receiving many great applications for the CGSS Women and Girls of Color Research Initiative Grant, the grant review committee and Provost Myers agreed to award funding to the following projects:

Mental Health and Academic Success Among Latina Emerging Adults: The Role of Culture and Gender Expectations

The Impact of Code-Switching Instruction on the Academic Achievement of Low-Income, African American Girls

Proyecto Mamá: A Community Resource and Needs Assessment of Perinatal Mental Health Among Latina Mothers

Changing Responses to Dating Violence Precursor Behaviors: An Action Research Project with Girls of Color and Their Partners

We thank all of the faculty, staff, students, and community members who applied for this grant for their time and effort in this process.

Request for proposals 2017 will be announced later in the fall semester.
