Biography
Mike Chaney attended Marquette University from 1963-1969 receiving a BS and MS in chemistry. He also received a Specialist Certificate in Secondary Education from UM-Milwaukee in 1981. He has been employed full time at Marquette University High School since 1970 both as a teacher and administrator (Dean of Students from 1972-1992). He has also been employed as a part time teacher in Milwaukee Area Technical College's evening school since 1980.
Besides teaching he was a DOE Teacher Research Associate at Laurence Berkeley Laboratory in the summer of 1994. He had a teacher externship in S.C. Johnson's analytical chemistry laboratory in the summer of 2000.
He was an AP Chemistry Reader at Clemson University from 1999-2002 and has been an AP Chemistry Consultant to the College Board from 1999-present.
Every summer since 1995, he has been a lab consultant at Hydrite Chemical in Milwaukee.
He has been married to Kathleen since 1968 and has three children and three grandchildren.
