Biography
Asirur Rahman received a Ph. D. degree in Analytical Chemistry under the
direction of Professor Norman E. Hoffman. After graduating from Marquette University on January 1989, relocated to Illinois. Joined the Sherwin Williams Company as a Scientist in their Analytical and Surface Science Department. Job function involved analytical method development for QA/QC, analytical supports to R&D and customer support. Received twice the Sherwin Williams Researcher of the Year Award. Moved to Nalco Chemical Company on March of 1993 as a Senior Chemist. Involved with the specification and method development for new products and raw materials. Received the Researcher of the Year award in 1996. Promoted to Senior Research Chemist in 1997 and Group Leader of the Chromatography Group in 1999. Currently Group Leader of Chromatography and Corporate Quality Assurance.
