Shortly after completion of his Master's Degree in human performance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Christopher Simenz began work as the director of the Washington Park Senior Fitness Center, a collaborative project involving the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the Milwaukee County Department on Aging Resource Center and the Interfaith Older Adult Program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Christopher coordinated this facility, which offered free membership to Milwaukee County senior citizens, specifically minorities and underserved populations, and afforded them safe, supervised exercise programming.

In 2001, Dr. Simenz joined the faculty of Marquette University Department of Physical Therapy as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Practicum Coordinator of the Program in Exercise Science. His responsibilities include teaching coursework in the areas of kinesiology, aging, obesity, sport injury and exercise leadership while managing student internship experiences.

Dr. Simenz also remains active in his work with the aging community in Milwaukee, serving on the Milwaukee County Wellness Advisory Committee and volunteering as a consultant to the Milwaukee County Department on Aging.

Simenz EXSC LabIn addition to his academic work, Dr. Simenz is an active member of both the National Strength and Conditioning Association- Wisconsin Chapter, where he serves on the steering committee, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, through which he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
