The participants of the CHS Biomedical Sciences Summer Research Program again had a great research experience this summer. With 42 applicants, 24 students were accepted and worked in the laboratories of fifteen different faculty mentors throughout the summer on a wide range of research projects.
The Program finished on August 1st with a juried poster presentation at the Grand Ballroom in the Alumni Memorial Unionl with Dr. John Mantsch, the Program Director of the Summer Research Program presenting the keynote address. We had shared top honors in our poster competition with both Jasmine Zapata and McKenize being awarded first prize and 2nd prize going to Anthony Purgianto. Congratulations to our winners and a special thanks to everyone for their continuing support and congratulations to all the participants.
