Prior to applying, applicants should identify prospective mentors from participating faculty so that they can indicate their preferences on their application. Qualified applicants who do not list a preference for a mentor or who identify mentors with no available positions will be assigned to a mentor by the selection committee.
Successful applicants will be selected by a committee comprised of participating faculty mentors. Prior to applicant selection, prospective mentors will conduct secondary interviews with qualified applicants.

Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program and their mentors by March 14, 2008 and are required to submit a letter of intent prior to April 25, 2008 in order to ensure a place in the Program.
Eligible applicants to the Program are NOT limited to students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences or Marquette University. Qualified applicants from any department and/or university will be considered, provided sufficient background and interest in biomedical research is demonstrated. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and have the appropriate documentation. Participants are not allowed to be enrolled in summer classes during the Summer Research Program. All wages are subject to federal income taxes.
