While we begin a new academic year, Muslim members of the Marquette community have started their observance of the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan, which commemorates the giving of the Qur’an to the prophet Mohammed, began this year on Monday, August 1st. To all Muslim members of the Marquette community, have a blessed Ramadan and best wishes for this special period of spiritual transformation. Ramadan Mubarak!
On Wednesday, August 31st Muslims will begin to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a three day celebration marking the end of Ramadan, the holiest month of the year for Muslims.
