What is Campus Renew?

An ecumenical, small Christian community experience that meets weekly for one hour during which participants reflect upon the Sunday Scriptures, share faith, and identify ways to live faith in new ways.

Who can participate?

Campus Renew is an ecumenical experience open to Marquette students interested in exploring their faith with others. The scripture passages come from the Sunday lectionary, which many Christian churches utilize as part of their Sunday worship.

How much does it cost?

$10 for reflection materials and t-shirt. Your small group leader will collect your participation fee at the first meeting.

What can I expect?

During the weekly gatherings there will be prayer, readings of the Sunday Scriptures, shared reflection on the readings, time for faith sharing, and an invitation to live faith in new ways until the next gathering.

Outside your weekly meeting time, your group will spend some time each month serving the poor and marginalized. You will also get a chance to meet others involved in Campus Renew through larger social events.

The constant process of gathering as a community, hearing anew the Word of God, and going forth to continue to live the Scriptures encourages the development of faith, growth in leadership, and deepening of service to others, especially the poor. And it's fun!

An experienced group leader facilitates the entire process. Small groups will range in size from 8-10 people.

Where will Campus Renew groups meet?

Residence hall based groups will meet in a residence hall, while other groups will gather in the Alumni Memorial Union. After you have signed-up, you will receive an email prior to your first meeting with the exact time and location of the meeting.
