Lenten Retreat in Daily Life

February 19 - April 2, 2015

"Return to God, with your whole heart." Joel 2:12

We seek and long for an intimate relationship with Christ that can only come through prayer. In this busy world, we often find ourselves too busy to take this time needed to rest in God. The Lenten Retreat in Daily Life is a wonderful opportunity to “Return to God, With Your Whole Heart.” Through the guidance of a Spiritual Director or Spiritual Companion, you will have the opportunity to pray and reflect on the heart of your relationship with your God.

The Lenten Retreat in Daily Life is a self directed retreat designed for busy people. It is not like other retreats where you may engage in group prayer and learn how others live in faith. This retreat is a journey that you travel with God and your Spiritual Companion or Director. This is a great opportunity to begin to understand what having a Spiritual Director is like.

The retreat begins and ends with a group prayer service. In between, retreatants commit to praying each day and meeting weekly with a spiritual companion or director. Retreatants are encouraged to take advantage of other prayer opportunities during Lent including the weekly Examen, Taize prayer, Lenten Reconciliation service, Sunday liturgy, etc.
