Sarah Platt

Communications Specialist, Time Warner Cable (Whitefish Bay)

I remember during freshman orientation we filled out a survey. One of the questions: ‘Where would you like to be in five years?’ I wrote that my aspiration was to become a reporter. Thanks to Marquette, guidance from those inside Johnston Hall, family and my own determination, I achieved that goal. I found that survey a couple years ago! My years at Marquette not only prepared me for a career in journalism, but to be a well-rounded communicator, writer and thinker. Marquette also gave me the skills to make a career transition after my experience in the TV news industry.
