Professional Ties on Campus and Beyond
Marquette University offers students a wealth of extracurricular activities to develop professional connections and lifelong friendships, dating back to the Journalism programís early years.
The campus chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha, the national honor society for journalism and mass communication, was established in 1929. Today, the Diederich College offers insights and connections via the Magazine Publications Organization and the campus chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). Last spring, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) formally approved a campus chapter at Marquette, the first for students in Wisconsin.
