Breaking News Reporter, The Washington Post (Washington, D.C.)
I’ve interviewed Haitian refugees washing ashore amid South Florida’s abundance, and flown into the remote refuge of the Montana militia, avoiding threat of gunfire from its paranoid leaders. I wrote one of the first online-only columns on technology from the heart of Silicon Valley, then rode the dot-com boom into an editorship at a hot startup. When the rooftop parties ended and the bust forced us into bankruptcy, I laid myself off and moved to Washington to work for a storiednewspaper. I’m still excited by covering a good breaking news story, executing high-quality writing, finding good sources and informing the public.
